SilverScript® Employer Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) for RCBP
Retail pharmacy information
When you use a CVS Pharmacy®, you’re responsible for paying your deductible and coinsurance.
You’re limited to your initial prescription and two refills at a non-participating pharmacy. You must use the CVS Caremark Mail Service Pharmacy or CVS Pharmacy for a continuing supply of a long-term medication after three fills.
When you use a non-participating pharmacy, you may have to pay your entire prescription amount up front. And, you’ll need to file a claim with us using the Pharmacy Claim form. Opens in a new window - PDF.
Save money and make the most of your benefit plan by choosing the generic or preferred brand equivalent. Be sure to share the Prescription Drug Guide/Formulary with your physician when a drug is prescribed.
Mail service pharmacy information
RCBP offers you a CVS Caremark® Mail Service Pharmacy benefit for covered prescription drugs that you take on an on-going basis, called maintenance medications. You also have the option to order your prescriptions via mail, internet or phone.
You can get up to a 90-day refill at a CVS Pharmacy® location for the same cost as using CVS Caremark Mail Service Pharmacy for medications used to treat certain conditions such as:
- Asthma
- Diabetes
- High blood pressure
- High cholesterol
You’re limited to your initial prescription and two refills at a non-participating pharmacy. You can only get a 90 day refill at a CVS Pharmacy location. If a CVS Pharmacy is not available in your area, you’ll need to use CVS Caremark Mail Service Pharmacy.
If you have a new mail service prescription that you will be using on an ongoing basis, ask your doctor to write two prescriptions for you.
- The first prescription should be for a 30-day supply that you can use right away at a retail pharmacy
- Once you know that you’ll be using this medication on an ongoing basis, the second prescription should be used for a 90-day supply and should be sent to the CVS Caremark Mail Service Pharmacy using the Mail Service Pharmacy Order Form.
