Silverscript Prescription Drug Plan

New New for 2024 – SilverScript Employer Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) for RCBP.

If you have Medicare A and or B as your primary coverage and have not opted into the Medicare Advantage Plan for RCBP, you’ll automatically be enrolled in our SilverScript® Employer Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) under Medicare Part D for RCBP.* Your new prescription drug plan will start January 1, 2024.

Your medical coverage and your Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Program premium will not change.** You are still covered under RCBP through the FEHB Program if you continue to pay your RCBP premium. Enrolling in the PDP will not result in the suspension or termination of your FEHB coverage.

Benefits of the PDP (the SilverScript Employer Prescription Drug Plan):

  • $0 annual deductible
  • $5 copay for generics
  • Copays for all tiers
  • Access to over 66,000 pharmacies nationwide
  • No mandatory fill requirements

If you are eligible for the Silver Script Employer PDP for RCBP, you should have received a mailing. To opt out of the Silver Script Employer PDP for RCBP, you must contact Member Services at 1-833-825-6754 (TTY: 711), Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 8 PM ET or go online at AetnaRetireeHealth.com/RCBP.

If you opt out of this new prescription drug plan, you will continue your prescription coverage under your current Rural Carrier Benefit Plan.

*If you are currently enrolled in a stand-alone Medicare prescription drug plan or a Medicare Advantage (MA) PPO plan (Part C), enrolling in SIlverScript will cancel your enrollment in the other plan.

** The Social Security Administration (SSA) could require you to pay an extra amount.  This is known as the Medicare Income Related Monthly Adjustment Amount (IRMAA).  SSA will contact you if you have to pay Part D IRMAA, based on your income

Aetna Medicare is a PPO plan with a Medicare contract. Our DSNPs also have contracts with State Medicaid programs. Enrollment in our plans depends on contract renewal. Standalone Prescription Drug Plans are offered by SilverScript, a CVS Health company. The formulary, provider and/or pharmacy network may change at any time. You will receive notice when necessary. See Evidence of Coverage for a complete description of plan benefits, exclusions, limitations and conditions of coverage. Plan features and availability may vary by service area. Participating physicians, hospitals and other health care providers are independent contractors and are neither agents nor employees of SilverScript. The availability of any particular provider cannot be guaranteed, and provider network composition is subject to change.
