SilverScript (EGWP) Employer Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) for RCBP

SilverScript Employer Prescription Drug Plan for RCBP

All Postal Service Health Benefits (PSHB) health plans are required to have a Medicare Part D PDP for retirees. If you’re enrolled in Medicare Part A and/or Part B, your RCBP plan will automatically enroll you in the SilverScript (EGWP) Employer Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) for RCBP*. Your premium does not change and your prescription drug benefits remain the same or better.

What this means

It could mean savings in prescription costs. Your drugs will still be covered, but copays and coinsurance may be lower. And you’ll receive a separate ID card to use for prescriptions.

Please note: if you are a Medicare-eligible PSHB participant and make the decision to opt out of or disenroll from the PDP included in your PSHB plan, you will NOT have prescription drug benefits through your PSHB plan. If you opt out or disenroll from the PDP, you can only reenroll in the PDP through your PSHB plan during the next Open Season or with a qualifying life event.

Also, if you have a higher income, you may be responsible for a surcharge on your Medicare Part D benefit. Refer to the Part D-IRMAA section at Medicare.gov to see if you would be subject to an additional premium.

If you don’t want to be enrolled in the SilverScript (EGWP) Employer PDP for RCBP, you must contact Member Services at 1-833-825-6754 (TTY: 711) Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 8 PM ET.

When you enroll in the Medicare Part D program, your medical coverage and your PSHB Program premium will not change.**

You are still covered under RCBP through the PSHB Program if you continue to pay your RCBP premium. Enrolling in the PDP will not result in the suspension or termination of your PSHB coverage.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: If you choose this plan and have Medicare, please call us at 1-866-241-0262 to make sure your Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage begins on 1/1/26.

_____________________

*If you are currently enrolled in a stand-alone Medicare prescription drug plan or a Medicare Advantage (MA) HMO or PPO plan (Part C), enrolling in SIlverScript will cancel your enrollment in the other plan.

**The Social Security Administration (SSA) could require you to pay an extra amount. This is known as the Medicare Income Related Monthly Adjustment Amount (IRMAA). SSA will contact you if you have to pay Part D IRMAA, based on your income.
